Multilingual Libraries
Bright Futures' mission is to create inclusive and empowering educational opportunities for all children. Through this initiative, we collect books via donations to establish small, multilingual libraries in schools. These libraries aim to support refugee, Roma, and migrant students, helping them maintain a connection to their native languages while improving their English skills.
Why Multilingual Libraries Matter
Preserving Cultural Identity: Access to books in their mother tongue allows children to stay connected to their culture and heritage.
Improving Language Skills: English books help students build vital skills that open doors to opportunities and integration.
Creating a Sense of Belonging: A library tailored to their needs fosters inclusion and a sense of community within schools.
What Kind of Books Do We Need?
We are specifically looking for books suitable for children and teenagers.
Here’s what works best:
Picture Books for young readers.
Chapter Books for older children.
Educational Materials that combine fun and learning.
Books in Native Languages to help students feel at home.
English Language Books to boost academic and linguistic progress.
